Would you 'fake it until you make it' if your company’s survival was at risk or would you call in an expert to help you get there?

Our Methods

Our methods for addressing your challenges are customized to: who you are, what you do, your stakeholders, your clients, what happened, the impact, current challenges and future needs. We provide a variety of bespoke, non-therapeutic, trauma-informed services to stabilize and support your workplace for moving forward.

When a traumatic event has happened in your workplace, we help you identify and manage the unrecognized 'hot spots' that trigger employees and interfere with a return to stability and productivity, for as long as you need. EAP services don’t do that.

Emergency Debriefing

We provide debriefing for events that have disrupted the workplace and is considered a crisis by those impacted both directly and indirectly. Debriefing is NOT a group therapy session. It is about facilitating conversations for:

  • Finding language for what has happened

  • Understanding the impact to you and others

  • Closing empathy gaps and building social capital amongst stakeholders and leadership

  • Reinforcement of inherent strengths of the individual, team and company

  • A starting place to move forward with a strengthened connection to co-workers

Debriefing is effective immediately after an incident or at any point in the aftermath where there has not been sufficient resolution of the event-which can even be years later. It can be facilitated in a group or one-on-one format virtually.

Training

In 1597 Sir Francis Bacon wrote "Knowledge itself is power" and it’s still true today. Inaccurate assumptions and wishful thinking following crisis can tank morale, engagement and disrupt even the strongest of workplace relationships. It is critical for those within HR and leadership positions to make post-event decisions and policies based on accurate, trauma-informed information in alignment with the realities of how human beings respond to trauma and loss.

We provide psycho-social education and training for all levels of an organization. Curriculums are based on a Needs Discovery and tailored to who attendees are, their roles, their challenges and intended goals. Training is both didactic and interactive and can be delivered in a group or one-on-one format.

Coaching

Coaching (not counseling) is used adjunctively for reinforcement and skill development following training or as a stand alone service. Sessions are structured around the participant’s challenges regarding performance, functioning, coping, engagement and workplace relationships. Non therapeutic, evidence-based, trauma informed practices are used with specific goals discussed and agreed upon at the out set. Homework assignments provide continuity and development in between sessions and are reviewed during coaching. Coaching is virtual, delivered by Zoom or phone in group settings or 1:1.

Retreat Facilitation

A change in geography (physically or virtually) can create a dedicated space for accomplishing specific goals. Retreats are particularly effective at closing empathy deficits, building social capital and allowing for open dialogue that could not comfortably take place within the workplace or crisis venue. Retreats are helpful for: taking a positive 'time out' to decompress, constructively ventilate, discern, discover and rebuild without distractions or interruptions.

We are seasoned at facilitating gatherings for individuals and teams to tackle sensitive and consequential issues that include built in reinforcements so the good work accomplished during the Retreat continues afterwards.

How to Begin?

There’s no such thing as a cookie-cutter crisis so we don’t believe in offering cookie-cutter solutions. Our work is customized to who you are and what your challenges are, right now and in the foreseeable future.

We’ll conduct a Needs Discovery and then co-create a solution with you in real-time, resulting in a plan you are comfortable and in agreement with.

From there, we’ll review our recommendations for services, the cost, answer questions and make any needed adjustments.
