Frank has had a long and distinguished career as an educator working with young people starting as a Social Studies teacher at Columbine HS in 1979, Head Baseball Coach, Assistant Football Coach, Dean of Students, Asst. Principal and then becoming Principal in 1996. Frank experienced the tragic shooting at Columbine in 1999, an event that redefined the nation and the name Columbine forever associated with active shooters in school settings. Frank shepherded several students to safety as the gunmen were visibly approaching and shooting. Subsequently Frank led his students and staff through the long and painful road of recovery to the strong and thriving school it is today. From his experiences of leading during and after a crisis, Frank is a sought after speaker and consultant, domestically and internationally on 'Lessons Learned From Columbine and Beyond, following violent school incidences.
